Kyle’s experience in coliving spans across being a resident, operator, and researcher. He lived in a long-term coliving community co-managed with OpenDoor for nearly two years, where he felt the transformative potential of coliving.
As an operator, he launched and ran a successful coliving space in Austin, gaining firsthand knowledge of the challenges and joys of the operator side of the sector. Now co-authoring the first independent research study on coliving’s impact on well-being, Kyle plans to work at a systems level to address the housing crisis and loneliness epidemic.
Driven by a belief in disrupting isolation, he envisions the evolution of cities and suburbs into village-like environments where young adults, families, and the elderly can love where they live. (edited)
